Occasionally, a patient may require a new 3D scan before creation of a new retainer. Whether it’s due to changes from dental treatment, like crowns or large fillings or lack of regular retainer wear, Retainer Club has established a straightforward protocol to manage these situations:
1. Identifying the Need for a Rescan: When a patient contacts Retainer Club for a replacement retainer and it’s determined that a new scan is necessary, the need is promptly communicated to the partner practice.
2. Practice Notification: The practice receives a notification (email or call) detailing the patient’s information and the reason for the rescan request.
3. Patient Scheduling: The practice reaches out to the patient to schedule a convenient time for the new 3D scan.
4. Conducting the Scan: At the appointment, the practice performs the 3D scan, ensuring accuracy and comfort for the patient.
5. Uploading the Scan: The new scan is uploaded to Retainer Club either through the scanner's connection or by sending an email with the .stl file
6. Retainer Production and Delivery: With the updated scan, Retainer Club manufactures the replacement retainer and ships it directly to the patient, ensuring timely delivery.
• Enhanced Patient Satisfaction: By minimizing delays and streamlining communication, patients receive their replacement retainers faster and with less hassle.
• Practice Efficiency: Automated notifications and a clear protocol reduce administrative burdens, allowing staff to focus more on patient care.
• Accurate Records: Regular updates and easy access to patient scans ensure that records are current, facilitating better treatment outcomes.
